I’ve been in business for over 24 years, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: most women aren’t struggling because they don’t work hard enough. They’re struggling because they’re playing small, in their business and in their life, and calling it “being realistic.”

I’m done watching that happen. So I started this podcast.

Why I’m Doing This Now

I actually did a version of this years ago. Back in 2010, before “podcast” was even a common word, I hosted a weekly radio show called Jumpstart Your Business Now on Blog Talk Radio. I did it for four years, mostly on my own, with no team, and eventually I burned out.

I stepped away from it for a while. But something has shifted for me. This isn’t about jumpstarting a brand new business anymore. It’s about leveling up. Helping entrepreneurs who already have something built get more visible, better positioned, and paid what they’re actually worth.

That’s what She Levels Up is for.

This Isn’t a Highlight Reel

I want to be upfront about something. This show isn’t going to be cookie-cutter advice or a few tips to get you some likes. We’re going to get into what’s actually working right now for making more money, positioning yourself as the expert you are, and building real authority.

I’m direct. I’m blunt. I might drop an occasional curse word when I’m passionate about something, and I probably will be. Not to shock you, but to emphasize a point. I tell it like it is because I care more about your results than your comfort.

You Are Not One-Size-Fits-All, and Neither Is My Advice

Here’s something that used to stop me from starting a podcast at all: so much advice out there is blanket advice. One person tells you to email your list every day. Another says once a month is plenty. The truth is, it depends on who you are and who you serve.

I work with coaches, consultants, and nonprofits, and I have author clients too. The strategy that works for one doesn’t always work for the other. On this show, I’m not going to give you generic advice and call it a strategy. I’m going to tell you what applies to you, specifically, because that’s the only kind of advice that actually moves the needle.

The 462 Hats Problem

There’s a reason so many talented, capable entrepreneurs stay stuck. I have a whole video about this on my YouTube channel: there are 462 things you have to learn to run a successful business. Bookkeeping. Marketing. Sales. Tech. Banking. Order pages. Order bumps. The list never actually ends.

The mistake I see over and over is entrepreneurs trying to wear every one of those hats themselves for far too long. They avoid the two hats that matter most, marketing and sales, because those are the ones that feel uncomfortable. And those are exactly the two that make or break whether your business becomes profitable.

If you’re avoiding marketing and sales right now, that’s not a personality flaw. It’s a strategy gap. And strategy gaps can be closed.

My OOI: Order of Importance

I teach my clients something I call the OOI, your Order of Importance. It’s simple: stop doing a hundred random things and start doing the right things, in the right order, based on what your business actually needs right now.

If you need revenue this month, your Ooey looks different than someone who’s financially stable and just wants to grow for fun. Both are valid. But doing things out of order, especially when money is tight, is one of the fastest ways to stay stuck and exhausted.

A Quick Gut Check on Pricing

If you’ve ever said “pay what you want” or left your pricing open as a donation, I want to gently call that out. That’s not generosity. That’s often a sign you’re not fully confident in your worth yet. You are allowed to charge what you’re worth, even if what you do brings you joy. Fun and profit are not mutually exclusive.

Why I’m Really Doing This

I want to share something personal, because business and life are never really separate.

Years ago I left a marriage that had grown comfortable but small for both of us. I built my business from the ground up, took it from local clients to the internet, and eventually met my now husband through online dating (yes, I used marketing strategy there too, and yes, that’s a story for another day).

Three weeks after he proposed to me, on video, at one of my own events, he was diagnosed with throat cancer. I spent the next eight months running my business half days and sitting with him through chemo the other half. He’s still here, and he’s had more health scares since, including two heart surgeries last year.

Here’s what that taught me: you do not know what tomorrow holds. Waiting to build wealth “eventually” is a gamble you don’t have to take. Assisted living can run $6,000 to $12,000 a month. If you live decades longer than you expect, will what you’ve saved actually carry you? That question should be part of your why, not just a scary thought you push away.

What I Want for You

I want you to think bigger. Live bigger. Stop settling for “good enough” or “I don’t need to make that much.” I want you to choose collaboration over competition and abundance over scarcity.

Anyone can build a business that generates real profit if they focus on the right activities, in the right order, with the right positioning. That’s what this show is for. Practical. Tactical. Profitable. No fluff, no hype, no hustle nonsense.
