Doing things in “Order of Importance” for you, your goals, your business, your offerings, your personality and your ideal clients… is critical to seeing more success faster.

Are you realizing that now… after trying many different approaches to your marketing, selling, business development, follow up and more?

I’ve mentioned before that my MISSION for 2023 is:

And, in order to do that, I’ve had to shift some of my priorities.

For example, I no longer let anyone and everyone have access to booking on my calendar. Instead, I’m very careful of which spots are open for my paying clients, they get the biggest choices. Others who want to talk, I am pretty good now at pre-qualifying them with a quiz or questionnaire so that the RIGHT people funnel through onto my calendar.

Do you want more ideal people coming to calls with you?
If so… then you want to know your perfect and unique “order of importance”. It may not be that clear for you however…especially if your #1 goal is to make more consistent income every month and you’re not there yet.

Most entrepreneurs put things like:

  • starting a podcast
  • writing a book
  • selling a membership wanting a lot of people in it
  • investing in expensive software
  • going after paid speaking gigs

In front of:

  • creating critical operational business structures
  • implementing effective technology and website
  • designing the right offerings, pricing and freebies
  • focusing on list building and database nurturing
  • speaking on other people’s stages and podcasts
  • selling high end offerings or 1on1 (even if just for short term)
  • honing marketing and sales skills – these two things if done WELL will run your entire business!

I’m not saying you can’t be successful focusing on the first 4 things or going after influencer status right away, however with a newer business or one with little money to invest, and a lot you need to bring in, remember, you don’t have a lot of people watching and following you yet. You may not be able to sell a large quantity every month of lower-priced offerings.

Heck, you may not be able to even book 3 or more conversations a month when you’re not talking to too many people! That means you have a small chance to sell stuff so you gotta go big when you do!

I know many of you “Think” you need to sell stuff lower priced because:

  • you’re just getting started
  • you’re new at this
  • it’s the first time you’re offering ‘this’
  • you’ve never charged that much yet
  • you don’t know anyone who will pay even the low price you’re thinking
  • no one is buying now

I say “STOP IT”. Stop that limited thinking. It’s not your job to decide who can buy what or how much people will invest. It’s your job just to talk with a LOT more people about how you can help. And, I mean a LOT of people… if you’re not making the kind of money that you want, you’re just not talking to or in front of enough of the right people.

Besides, it’s 10 times easier to sell one $5,000 thing than 25 $200 things every single month… yes, I promise you, it is. Now, if you have a business selling products that are lower and not coaching, then you want to focus on two things – mass marketing and adding additional business models.

Think about what YOU can do differently this year and how.
