In this age of relationship marketing, building relationships with your prospects, referral sources and as many people as you can meet and add to your database is your most important marketing tool. The second most important marketing strategy is actually ENGAGEMENT, which is why it’s my word for 2024.

Your prospects and even YOU are overwhelmed with TOO many places to check/look/respond and too much information coming at them online… you must get really creative this year, more than ever, to get them to actually SEE and pay attention to what you’re putting out/sharing. You want to assume they aren’t seeing your posts, emails and videos… WHAT ELSE can you do to reach them?

Yes, this is time consuming, and you’ll have to get very organized, if not, it will be hard to be seen. Unless you’re willing to PAY of course! Even then you have to pay to play strategically and intentionally.

It’s about NURTURING these days, not expecting QUICK results. It’s being in it for the LONG RUN, not the short game… that’s how you’ll survive.

The 6 Marketing Musts I talk about on the recording:

1)  Know your ideal client and what they want/need inside and out – don’t guess, learn and ask!

2)  Be authentic and vulnerable, they will see through the fake crap fast and won’t trust you. Trust is the key to more sales… that includes making sure your website showcases that they can trust you. (There are a dozen things to look for to do that)

3)  Share to the masses. (Yes, MORE marketing – some things you may NOT be able to delegate and partnering is more important than ever)

4)  Connect deeper with those who are paying attention with wow customer nurturing activities. (Get personal and curious)

5)  Segment market for higher engagement – divide your lists, supporters, followers, friends, etc. into groups of who wants what and how. Those who like videos may want to follow you on YouTube or follow your reels rather than read an email!

6)  Have multiple ways to reach and educate people, from:

        • Email

        • Direct mail
        • Text
        • Private message – FB, LI, IG
        • Videos
        • In person
        • Zoom
